With each of my clients, my desire is to be more than a vendor that makes their wedding-day dreams come true. I want to get to know you on a personal level and come to a place where you’re comfortable enough with me to make me the fly on the wall, the historian for your wedding day, your second pair of eyes. Of course, this requires a level of trust, and from the beginning I felt this trust come easily between Ashley and I. For one, it was a cold January day and I was sipping on a eggnog latte at Starbucks when she walked up with the baby of my dreams. Seriously. Little tuffs of red hair peaked from underneath her winter beanie, and it took off from there.
On the wedding day, both she and Andrew invited Jesse and I into their inner sanctum . I really felt like one of the girls, snapping pictures of them fixing each other’s makeup, swapping childbirth and new mom stories, and laughing over high school and college experiences. It made it all the more easy to pull out authentic expressions and catch those impromptu candids.
Andrew and Ashley, we had a blast capturing your wedding. I can’t deny that watching your sweet Lila reach out her arms every time we played the Frozen theme song was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Jesse and I now refer to this dance move as “The Lila”. I apologize in advance for the volume of pictures of your little redhead. She sort of stole the show.
