When I told Rachel about the complimentary engagement session she was a little hesitant. She dreaded looking posed or unnatural, and I don’t blame her. Something I tell all my clients is that I want them to recognize themselves, their actions, and their expressions in every pictures. I want it to be a natural outflow of their personalities and chemistry. Rachel and Luke really had nothing to worry about. Just a couple minutes into the shoot, they were already cracking jokes, laughing at each other, and just having a regular date with a photographer as the third wheel. They goofed around, they flirted, they talked about the coming months, planned their future garden, and poured over all the difference species at the North Carolina Botanical Garden–all the things that feed an inspiration for a shoot. These two were a delight to hang out with. The fact that they are fellow plant lovers is just the cherry on top. I can’t wait to see more of these two for their wedding this summer! Until then, these glimmers will have to suffice.
