Erin and David
While we only did their engagement photos two weeks before, I couldn’t wait to see these two again. Their goofy energy and joyful affection for each other is just a delight to be around. When I arrived on location this morning, I drove around for awhile in search of their getting-ready bus. Erin had told me about it a couple weeks before, and I was so excited to check it out. I quickly found out that the Bardot Bus was actually a renovated pink trailer! It was the cutest and coziest getting ready spot, completely with ample light and seating for the bridal party. We got to take some fun photos outside the trailer, and made our way to Cookery to finish Erin’s hair and get her in the dress.
Erin and David’s vision for the day unfolded beautifully, from the flowers, to the live band and the dessert bar filled with pies and whoopee pies galore. Erin’s gorgeous flower crown paired beautifully with her full curls, and David rocked his blue suit with a cranberry tie and his rocking beard. But really, the most beautiful thing was watching these two totally and completely enamored by each other. Whether it was their first look or running three blocks in downtown Durham and across a parking lot to catch the last rays of the golden hour, they held hands, laughed and hung on each other all the way through.
After Erin’s dad shared the story of how David proposed, the couple shared a whoopee pie and hit the dance floor. The live band brought such an intimacy to the evenings, as people made personal requests and jived to the music. What a night. Congrats Erin and David!
