Jess and John
I have decided that I love Monday morning engagement sessions.
Because wedding season is straight chaos, and because these two have pretty busy schedules, we opted to do their engagement photos in the morning. At 8 AM, we typically would have been battling the sun, but weather was good to us and gave us clouds. We started off the session like all Monday mornings should be started—with good coffee and lots of puppy snuggles. I joked with them that they may end of recieving mostly photos of George—their charismatic pug—than they do of themselves. I’m such a sucker for pups, guys, especially ones with bow ties and wrinkles.
I loved that they chose Morning Times as one of their locations. Doing shoots at coffee shops or restaurants begins the session with such a lifestyle-esque feel. It gives clients something to talk about and focus on other than the camera and warms them up to just interact and be themselves which results in the most natural photos.
All in all, this session was so much fun! We drank coffee, got a beautiful view of Raleigh’s skyline, laughed hard, battled humidity, and just had a good time. I’m really looking forward to shooting this one.
