Andra and Brian

Andra and Brian hail from Pittsburgh, where they’re getting married this year. Family brings them down the coast, and I was fortunate enough to be found by them on the good ole’ internet. When I spoke with Andra on the phone a few months prior to their session, she gave me some insight into her vision for their engagement session, providing information about their interests and personalities. After doing some location scouting, I settled on a friend’s home in Wendell, one that featured the rustic and “off the beaten path” vibes.

These guys were up for anything. Thanks to North Carolina’s rain season, the paths and woods were pretty well saturated, but that didn’t keep them from fully embracing the environment. (Pro Tip: If you’re resisting embracing the place around you during your photos sessions, that will show, plus a little dirt never hurt anyone right?). These two adventurous and slightly rule-breaking friends jumped over streams and traipsed through the thicket. They even went along with some very harmless trespassing where we discovered a gorgeous field of tall grass and some very old, very dilapidated vintage trucks.

All I can say is, if you’re willing to get a little dirty and full commit, I am your girl.
