Cawley and Tim
I really cannot stress how very cool the people are that I have the pleasure of working with. When I drove into Chicago, it was a typical brisk, below-freezing day with bit of a wind. Despite the gray skies and the scattered snow and ice on the walk ways, these two showed up, eager and stunning. At 8:30 AM that Sunday morning, we bundled up and made our way to Lincoln Park which afforded us a pocket of nature framed by the silver skyscrapers. As we chatted and shivered, we found the park bench where Tim proposed, and talked about their adventure in making a life in the bustling Windy City.
To keep warm, they teased and taunted each other. The laughter kept their cheeks rosy and it was easy to snap some snuggly pics as they stole each others body heat. I fell in love with the romantic pallid sky against the warm colored dead reeds and grass. I know that most would opt for the vibrancy of spring, but I am seriously digging the muted winter hues of the Midwest.
It still baffles me that this job allows me to meet someone and within the matter of a couple of minutes lets me in very intimate parts of their lives so that I can paint a picture, tell a story about what makes them them. Iām humbled and grateful for those of you guys who have chosen me to do this, who have decided to trust my creative process and eye, and who have become my friends.
This job rocks and these two warm my heart.
