Christian and Brittney
The whole week threatened thunderstorms. I remember Brittney and I texting a few days before the wedding day, considering the possibility of rain. Brittney's vision for the day was classic, bright, and sparkly, all words that don't mesh well with grey rain showers. So we waited and prayed. When I got to the Highgrove that morning, having driven through rain to get there, was surprised to find the sun shining boldly and brightly. Brittney's mom checked the weather continuously, only to find that it indeed did call for rain all around us, but in that little corner of Fuquay Varina, it seemed that the skies had been parted.
The day unfolded just how Brittney and Christian envisioned it. Their hard work came through the classical aesthetic of the whites, golds, and tans in the bridesmaid dresses, suits, and flowers, and the timeline allowed for us to capture beautiful memories and still have time to relax with their closest friends and family. It was really special to sit and listen to the toasts of these high school sweethearts. This is one of my favorite times of the night. I get to peak into their love stories from another perspective. My favorite memory was shared by Brittney's mom. Brittney had decorated the entire garage to feel like a European restaurant, complete with string lights, a table for two, music, and even white sheets lining the walls to create the ambiance. When she shared this story, I couldn't help but look around me, the Highgrove's ceilings billowing with white tule, string lights, and those two sitting at a table for two. I hope that it was everything you dreamed. Congratulations Brittney and Christian! We wish you the best!
