Madeleine and Stephen
This session was a perfect example of my vision for your photo experience and here is why…
AESTHETIC — Not only did these two wear the cutest, outdoorsy flannels, but they dressed according to their own style. Their outfits made them comfortable which helped them relax in front of the camera. They also chose a location that meshed with their outfits really well, which gave this session a cohesive look.
SETTING — Along with their personal style, they chose a location that was important to them and one that matched their outfits perfectly. They went with the History Yates Mill nature park that Stephen had frequently walked as a kid. The best part of it was that they weren’t afraid to leave the beaten path. In fact, they came prepared in boots and were so down to traipse through mud, tall grass, and thorns to have these moments and get these shots.
MOOD— This is the toughest one to master… when there is a stranger with a camera around her neck photographing everything you do, it can be hard to be fully present and in the moment with the person you love. But these two came through. Their energy and flirtatious humor was so much fun to capture. They teased each other, held hands, reminisced—all the things that brought them close.
But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself.
