Catherine and Kalmer
I shot a wedding in an actual cloud . The venue, what was supposed to afford a gorgeous view of surrounding mountains, was shrouded in fog, wind and rain. What could have been disastrous turned into some of the most romantic, mysterious, and sheer wild photos of the season. The weather could have easily spoiled Catherine and Kalmer’s wedding and prevented any chances of getting stunning mountain-top photos. However, these two did not let the weather cast any dreariness or shadow over their day. Instead, they pushed through the cold, the rain, and the wind with such joyful attitudes. Not only that, but their wedding party was such troopers! They didn’t complain once about taking photos outside and continuously cheered on both Catherine and Kalmer throughout the morning to think “warm thoughts.” To my engaged couples, your wedding day happens once, and no amount of weather should cheat you from capturing beautiful moments in beautiful ways. If you’re willing to face the elements I am too. Shout out to these two for embracing 34 degrees, bone chilling wind and rain. Your tenderness, love, and determination warms me to this day.
