Abigail and Collin
It seems that some of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues are often in the middle of nowhere. After driving through Hickory, we pulled up on Mostellar Mansion. The intricate details in the crown moldings, paneled walls, copious arches, and grand staircases made me feel like it was something out of a fairy tale. The richness of the setting really set the tone for the day; Collin took note of each button, stray hair, and wrinkle. Abigail embraced her theater background and stepped into her elegant adorned lace dress and classical accessories and stepped out onto the balcony to see her dad. Then down the winding stairs she went towards Collin for their first look and it was truly as magical as it looked.
Their sincere delight at seeing each other was beautiful to capture, and their fixation on and preferment for each other carried through the whole day—whether surrounded by their whole wedding party, the entirety of their guests on the dance floor, or alone.
The ceremony too was held beneath the leaning trees in front of the stair case and a light breeze swayed the branches as Abigail and Collin made promises and professed their pride in being each others life partner. And for all the fun theatrical photo opps we had on the balcony, the spiral stairs, and in front of the fountain, my favorites are the ones that simply capture how easily they made each other laugh .
