Jillian and Andrew
I had the pleasure of meeting Jillian and Andrew about three years ago. They were guests at Jessica and Sean’s wedding, one that I was shooting. I didn’t realize it at the time, but when I snapped the photos of the couples together, I would be repeating that picture three years later at their own wedding. After doing this for over five years now, my “network” is starting to feel a lot more like a family. Shooting a wedding where a bridesmaid from a previous wedding swaps her bridesmaid dress for a bridal gown is happening more and more and I kind of love it.
Jillian and Andrew’s wedding day was simply gorgeous. We were situated on the side of a mountain overlooking a valley. The rain had rolled through in the morning and cooled down the air, and the trees were just about to change. Jillian and Andrew brought out the fall season in their choice of an accent color. The maroon and cranberry flowers, dresses and ties provided a classy and romantic feel to the day.
Andrew and Jillian promised forever through laughter and tears under the gazebo overlooking the Blue Ridge, and afterwards friends and family gathered on the porch eating finger food while Andrew, Jillian and I walked around the grounds. Honestly, these two were completely smitten, but not in the cringy-Hallmark kind of way. Their nerves about being in front of the camera melted away and they laughed heartily and easily in each others arms. Their down-for-anything, laugh-kissing, face-smooshing attitudes made this wedding day so much fun to capture and I am so happy for them.
