Caitlin and Aaron
I met up with Caitlin and Aaron for the first time for their engagement session and had the best time exploring some of downtown Raleigh’s gems. I seriously LOVE the city vibes from this session. We started at Watts and Ward’s patio, which affords the most romantic vine-covered corners to enjoy a drink in front of soho-esque apartment buildings. While there we quickly learned about the joints jazz nights which are on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays (just a heads up for you fellow jazz lovers). While they sipped their cocktails and joked about the first date, we took in the beautiful sunshine and the natural beat and sounds of downtown Raleigh’s scene.
We then made our way to Dorothea Dix park, which at the time had their daffodils in full bloom. This park always has some neat surprises. Last year I had the pleasure of capturing some engagement pictures amongst their thick sunflower field. This year it was the daffodil paths. As they stood amongst the yellow, talking game of thrones with me, it was such a cool contrast to see the sit skyline behind them. The juxtaposition was beautiful, their chemistry and friendship stunning. So excited to see these two tie the knot!
