Jesse and Anna
There were so many moments that occurred this day that made me so thankful to be able to wake up every day and do what I do. The plethora of reactions to seeing Anna for the first time from her brother, dad, grandpa, to Jesse’s own joyful and tearful expression at seeing her at the end of the aisle was incredible to capture. I so enjoyed the way these incorporated several things that really invited both families to merge and celebrate together. In honoring his family’s Jewish heritage, Jesse and Anna got married under a beautiful Chuppa, adorned with greenery and flowers. Both Jesse’s sister and Anna’s brother read promises of blessings to the couple, and the ceremony was included with the tradition of crushing the glass. It strikes me how lucky I am to be able to see the different ways that people add meaning to their weddings that communicate their love and respect for their families and themselves.
During the cocktail hour, there were more than just drinks and finger food passed around. The venue lead around goats and llamas amidst the guests playing lawn games.
The reception took of with toasts and the lively hora dance where not only was Jesse and Anna lifted into the air over their excited guests, but also their parents and siblings! As the sun set, we took a walk out to the pond and Jesse and Anna danced, and skipped into the sunset to get some golden hour shots, and it was incredible how very little prompting these two needed. The evening concluded full of tradition, laughter, and a whole lot of cannolis!
