Maddie and Stephen
I love it when weddings take me out of town. Despite the hustle of traveling and making sure all boxes are checked when it comes to packing, there is something about the extra time to immerse yourself in a new place before capturing the sliver of the time and place that these two rockstars ask you to capture.
Maddie and Stephen’s spring wedding in the Outer Banks not only delivered incredible weather on the beach, but it was the perfect amount of rest and adventure. I loved exploring the eclectic streets, the pier, and the boats tied at the dock with coffee in hand, envisioning where they would have their first look and their golden hour time together.
These enjoyed wave-crashing first look at the end of the pier. It was private and beautiful. The couple opted for the first look so they could more leisurely complete family photos and still enjoy their celebration. The ceremony, intimate and small, was done under cloud cover and the reception kicked off with some sweet toasts, dinner, and dancing.
These two have an electric energy, one that makes you excited even if you don’t know what you’re excited about. They are all in—no matter what it is. They laugh without abandon, kiss without abandon. They just love hard, and being able to tell their story was a gift.
