Spencer and Alyssa

When you’re a photographer, time and seasons are memorialized by client’s anniversaries and expansions of their families. That is actually one of my favorite things in this line of work. My relationship with my client doesn’t end at the end of the wedding night, at least if you don’t want it to.

I photographed Alyssa and Spencer’s wedding just a couple of years ago, and for their anniversary shoot, not only were they able to look back at who they were as a couple two years prior (bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and puppy-less) but I was also able to think back to who I was as a photographer, a business owner, a person.

These memorials of time and tick marks of growth continue to humble me, push me to never be in the sample I was the last time I was behind my camera and in front these clients and friends, and make me ever so thankful for the opportunity to do this. In this business, reflection is so necessary. As is good clients who become friends. Oh. and dogs. Dogs are a must.

As a side note, Reid, this sweet mini golden doodle is one of Luna’s (my hefty thickkk bulldog babe) best friends.
