Pruitt Family
I know I have said this before, but I love, love, love continuing on with clients. There is nothing more rewarding for a photographer than sticking with you from your engagement session to your newborn session. Seeing you come full circle beats the mountain top portraits, because ultimately we’re human and we thrive from building relationships. I got to do just this for Kara and Austin. A little over three years ago, I captured these soulmates saying their I Dos in Cary, North Carolina. Fast forward a few years, and a lot has happened. Kara and Austin adopted a couple of pups, moved, and bought a home together!
When they announced the addition to their little family and reached out to me to capture their in-home newborn session, I was honored—honored to be trusted to capture yet another capstone of their life and to come along with them as they grow as individuals, a couple, and a family. It didn’t take too long to step back into the rhythm of documenting their love and life together, except this time we had an additional party—little miss Mia. I couldn’t get over how silky and thick her dark brown tufts of hair were. We were all remarking at how cute her chubby thighs and milk chin were (and how its really only socially expectable to talk about someone’s cute chubby chin and thighs when they’re a baby). It was just really amazing to see Mia’s parents love her, carefully and tentatively as they learn her different grunts and cries. It’s so clear to see that she is so very loved and cherished.
Coming from this in-home newborn lifestyle session, I am so thankful I have clients who put their trust in me over the years. So yeah, when you book me for your wedding, there is no obligation that you have to call me up for your anniversary, maternity, newborn, or whatever. But I want to be your photographer for keeps. Not only are you already used to my goofy/awkward self, I have had a front seat in capturing you and documenting your story and i’m so ready to pick up where we left off.
