Greg and Elizabeth

This was my second hurricane wedding. Last year, on the first weekend of October, Hurricane Joaquin decided to grace the wedding day with its presence, completely banning us to the indoors, but this year Hurricane Matthew swept in a bit early. As day comes after night, the most beautiful sky comes after a storm. Even though the guys lost power to where they were getting ready and had to quick get a hotel room and there were tree limbs scatter here and there, I don't think the wedding could have turned out more beautifully. It also helps when you have a really amazing bride and groom to work with. In my attempts to get out of the wind that still lingered I suggested we briefly commandeer  a bread and breakfast's front yard, and Elizabeth and Greg were totally game.  Even when I led them down the streets of Downtown Clayton past dumpsters and alleys, they completely trusted me. Working with a photographer you trust is pretty essential. It opens up opportunities to get those really great shots that you might not have done if you had gone with someone who didn't make you feel absolutely sure or comfortable. Top 5 Favorite things about this wedding:

  1. The guy's unique choice of ties

  2. Day after a hurricane weather

  3. Those brick walls

  4. The back of her dress

  5. The reception. These kids know how to dance.

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Greg!
