Spencer and Alyssa
The day began in a frenzy. We battled downtown traffic on steroids due to the huge Bluegrass festival that closed down many of the main streets surrounding the venue. Despite the parking inconvenience, the live music, food trucks and bustle actually proved to be a colorful backdrop to a lovely day. In between photos the groomsmen stood around the musicians and the guests grabbed appetizers from food trucks during cocktail hour. The whole day unfolded in such an organic way. It wasn't a picture perfect country club wedding. Alyssa and Spencer wanted to incorporate the realistic feel of downtown into their portraits...the decrepit brick walls, the shop-front windows, the parks, and even the impatient cars. We sort of just wandered up and down Fayetteville street and stopped wherever we saw a spot. It was a perfect fall day, full of Bluegrass music, lots of coffee, and whole lot of sweet love. Congrats!
