Kara and Corbin
We made our way to Stocksdale, a sweet small town nestled in the foothills of the Mountains. I climbed the most twisty stairs to find Kara putting on her lipstick like a rockstar and Corbin nervously tying his tie. The Longhouse is just feet away from a beautiful private path framed by looming trees, long grass, wide open pond. It was a beautiful backdrop to the deep rust-orange bridesmaid dresses and the conglomeration of farmer’s market flowers freshly picked that morning.
Kara elected to do a first look with her dad AND her two brothers (one who recently got back from serving a term in the military and her triplet brother). I’ve never done a first look with brothers so it was such a special moment to see how each reacted differently to see their sis decked out in white.
Their ceremony took place under a beautiful tree on the property. Soon after vows Corbin and Kara strode towards the pond. The tall pines surrounding the water gave me all the West Coast vibes, and their sweet chemistry was incredible to witness. As I walked away to give them some time alone I glanced back to see them practicing their slow dance. It was too much for me not to capture and these turned out to be some of my favorites.
Their laidback reception was full of barbecue, cupcakes, the shoe game, dancing and enjoying the fall weather. They ended the night with a sparkler send-off against the dimming sun. I was so happy to have celebrated with these guys!
