Kristen and Jay
Things kept coming up and we ended up having to reschedule this session two times, and on the third we nearly got rained out. What seemed like a chaotic fight to get some pictures taken turned out to be an uphill battle worth trodding. When we arrive at Dorothea Dix, vacant of sunflowers that had garnished the field months earlier, the park looked bare. However, the lack of bloom was actually quite gorgeous. The balance of the wild and gentle golden fields, the untouched brambles and rusting shrubs and trees, and the distant city scape in the background was truly sublime. The fall mustard, caramel, cranberry and olive tones were vivid and rich against the dark looming sky.
And amidst this contrasting scene was these two, so perfectly ready to laugh with each other. They dodged ant piles, waltzed, tripped, and strode hand-in-hand, arm-in-arm, gently and kindly. I cannot wait to capture more of this sweet, quiet, and bold love that they have. Thanks for bringing me on this journey guys!
