Kerry and Holly

The first thing that struck me about Holly was her laugh. It was so contagious and wholehearted. In their engagement session, I would ask Kerry to make her laugh, and you could tell it wasn't fake or forced, but just a natural way she expresses herself. Both Holly and Kerry's low-key manner and kindhearted personalities made shooting their wedding an absolute privilege. I really enjoyed the alternative setting for their wedding. It was an early Saturday morning with a southern brunch, complete with shrimp and grits and cornbread. Not only did this make for a refreshing change to the usual evening ceremony paired with dinner, but it was also a more affordable option at this stunning venue. In fact, I think you can enjoy the Cotton Room best in the early light, with the big windows reflecting the sun beams on the warm wooden floors and off their incredible globe light fixtures.

While there wasn't the usually dancing or bouquet toss, there were some really special highlights of the day that stood out to me. For one, Holly's dad wore his holly berry pin to commemorate the day and his daughter. I was told that he had warn it for her for most of her life and he was surely going to wear it for her now. And don't get me started on the sweet and sassy flower girl. I've never seen one stop mid-aisle and turn around to look at us sneaking the back-shots. When I found this picture editing I melted. Kerry and Holly, your day was exquisite and we wish you the best.
