Taylor and Tyler
Walking into Glenncliff Manor on December 16th, the historical home decked with boughs of holly, felt like I was in Dickens's Christmas Carol when good Old Ebeneezer finally comes around to celebrating Christmas with his nephew. While it was bitter cold outside, the mustard and crimson decor of the original wall paper and vintage furniture warmed us and we passed out hand-warmers to tuck in our shoes and gloves as we prepared to make our way outside in intervals for some wintry wedding pictures. While the ceremony was held outdoors in the dark in 30 degree weather, the numb feeling in my toes was quickly dispelled when I saw Taylor walking towards Tyler in her white fur cloak with all the twinkling lights against the stark night sky. With lanterns and thick wintergreen trees scattered about the lawn and the bridesmaids in their fur shawls, I half expected to see a fawn with parcels announce their arrival into the wondrous land of Narnia. It was not Narnia, but it wasn’t any less magical. Tyler and Taylor are two very loved people. Not a single attendant muttered about the chill, but all gathered happily, warmly in celebration of these guys. I’m thankful to have been a part of it.
