Mary and Jared
We absolutely love these two people. We've been there for the really important moments. Jared stood up for Jesse at our wedding. We were there on the top of Mount Mitchell to capture them getting engaged, and now this. When Mary told me where they were getting married, I couldn't wait. The Blue Ridge Mountains and the golden hour ceremony was filling my mind with ideas. Their wedding was one of the most exhilarating I have shot. My fingers were numb, my eyes were watering from the wind (or maybe I was crying a little bit), and the apple cider wafted from the guest's cups as they watched them make a promise. Jared and Mary waited to see each other for the first time in the ceremony. It was an amazing thing. I really struggled to keep it together quite honestly. So after the ceremony, we were jamming all the pictures into a small span of time before the sun slipped behind the mountains. I'm very protective of my client's prime light time, so I admit that I transformed into a military drill sergeant when it came to getting the family and wedding party pictures done.
At first, I was a little panicked, thinking that we didn't have enough light...but I was so wrong. The dusky, copper hues came through the tall pine silhouettes and the deep blues and grays from the mountains provided the most romantic pallet. And then there's these two. They fell into each other where it was warm and right. Congratulations you guys. We love you.
